Chris has a B.S. in Art Education, and a Commercial Art Degree from the Art Institute of Pittsburgh. Being artistic
and mentoring up-and-coming creatives as an Advertising Art Director and Creative Director were his passions for over 30 years. You can see that same passion for mentoring on the basketball court, thanks to his college and high school coaching experience.


As a Fine Artist, his technique of combining oil pastels and oil paint isn't very efficient in terms of time when
creating works of art. Time is not a factor because Chris is most satisfied when drawing with line and color, and he's also most satisfied with the unusual effect that the layering of oil pastels can provide. A mixed media approach of combining oil paint, photography, and oil pastels contributes to a graphic, impressionistic style, much in the tradition of two of his own personal favorites, Toulouse-Lautrec and Edgar Degas.
